Labels

Sunday is mani-day!

As I've gotten older I've realised how it's the little things that make the woman. You don't have to be wearing a designer suit or diamond necklace to look fly and fabulous. Just keeping yourself well kempt goes a long way in portraying an image of someone who puts a lot of time and effort into her appearance.

One of the things that I think really makes me look kempt and complete is a regular manicure. However, for me, having healthy nails is most important.

Another blog?

Yes!

Often times we are viewed based on the roles people give us: mother, daughter, sister, accountant, dentist, Christian, and the list goes on. With these labels comes the pressure of wanting to live in line with them-- to be the best mother or dentist. With this blog, I'm inviting everyone to put down their every day identities and enjoy a free space where you don't have to be anything or anyone.

In the world's eyes I'm a word-smith. As a journalism college graduate, media and communications graduate student, award winning literary artist, published author, former magazine editor and current public relations manager, who can blame them? But I want to take a step away from the pen and talk about the other things that I love, fashion, design, culture, relationships etc. I'm going to let loose and choose the labels I want. And I invite you to come and share about the things that mean the most to you.

Smooches! xx
